A frozen lake, pine forests blanketed in snow, and commanding views of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti — Brahmatal is where winter magic is real.

The crown jewel of winter trekking. A 360° sunrise panorama from the summit that you will carry in your heart forever.

Easy–Moderate📍Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand
The Valley of Gods. Ancient villages frozen in time, Himalayan birds gliding above, and a cradle valley where mythology and mountains intertwine.

Roopkund
Difficult📍Chamoli district, Uttarakhand
The Skeleton Lake. A mystery as old as time at 16,000 feet — and the most legendary trek in the Himalayas.

Gaumukh Gangotri

Walk to the birth of the Ganga. Where a river begins — and where many feel their inner journey truly starts.
Pangarchulla Peak

Your first real Himalayan summit above 15,000 feet. From the top, the entire Garhwal Himalayan range spreads before you in breathtaking scale.

The Curzon Trail. Lord Curzon called it the finest mountain walk in the world — and a century later, it still is.

The undiscovered gem. While crowds rush to famous trails, Bagji Bugyal rewards the curious with vast meadows, total silence, and a Himalayan view that belongs only to you.

Rudranath

One of the five Panch Kedar temples, hidden deep in the wilderness of Garhwal. The trek to Rudranath is a pilgrimage through ancient forests, vast bugyals, and complete solitude.

Chandrashila
Easy–Moderate📍Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand
The Moon Rock. Sitting above Tungnath — the highest Shiva temple on Earth — Chandrashila delivers a 360° panorama of Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, and Bandarpoonch. All this in just 2 days.

Lohajung to Monal Top
Easy–Moderate📍Chamoli district, Uttarakhand
From the basecamp village of Lohajung, a short ascent to Monal Top — a viewpoint draped in forest where Trishul and Nanda Ghunti rise like walls above you, and the Himalayan Monal pheasant glides through the pines.

Chandrashila & Deoriyatal
Easy–Moderate📍Rudraprayag district, Uttarakhand
Two of Uttarakhand's most beautiful experiences — a mirror lake reflecting snow peaks at Deoriyatal, and a 13,000 ft summit above the world's highest Shiva temple at Chandrashila — combined into one unforgettable journey.

The Yeti Yatra Difference
There are many trekking companies. There is only one team that was born in these mountains, that knows every trail not from a guidebook — but from childhood.
Mountain-Born Guides
Kamu Rana and our team were born and raised in the Himalayas. These trails are not a job — they are home. That knowledge cannot be bought or taught in classrooms.
Small, Intimate Groups
We keep groups small intentionally. No factory-line tourism. Every trekker gets personal attention, safety focus, and the space to actually experience the mountains.
Authentic Homestays
Our homestays are built the old way — mud walls, wooden roofs, home-cooked food, and warmth that no hotel can replicate. This is mountain life as it actually is.
Responsible Travel
Clean trekking. Zero waste. Tree plantation drives. We believe if the mountains give us peace, we must protect them. Every journey you take with us gives something back.
Transparent Pricing
What you see is what you pay. No hidden costs, no surprise fees. We believe honest pricing is the foundation of honest travel. Your trust is not for sale.
Personal Support
From your first question to your return home, we are with you. Pre-trek briefing, on-trail support, emergency protocols. You are never alone on our mountains.
“Travel with heart. Travel responsibly.
Travel with Yeti Yatra.”

They give you belonging.
Our homestays are built the old way, with mud walls, wooden roofs, and simple mountain architecture that carries stories of generations. These homes stay warm in winter, cool in summer, and always full of heart.
Here, life moves slowly. You wake up to fresh mountain air, sunlight touching the hills, and the smell of simple home-cooked food. Evenings are quiet, with stars above and peaceful conversations around you.

People Who Belong to the Mountains
Every guide, every planner, every person behind Yeti Yatra shares one thing: a genuine, deep love for the Himalayas. This is not a job. It is a calling.

Kamu Rana
Founder & Trek Leader
“For me, the mountains are not a place to visit — they are home.”
Kamu Rana
Kamu Rana is not just the founder of Yeti Yatra — he is someone who belongs to the mountains. Born and raised in Lohajung, he grew up walking these trails, listening to the forests, and living close to nature.
His love for trekking started at a young age. What began as simple walks in the hills slowly became a deeper connection with the land. Over the years, he worked as a guide, learning every trail, every turn, and every story the mountains hold. He also trained in bird watching, which made his bond with nature even stronger.
Kamu Rana understands the mountains in a way that only someone from here can. The silence, the changing weather, the small details of nature — these are a part of his everyday life.
Through Yeti Yatra, his dream is simple: to share the real beauty of the mountains with people, while protecting them the way they deserve to be protected.
Abhishek Pratap
Abhishek Pratap is the owner of Yeti Yatra and the person behind shaping its growth and direction. His connection with the mountains comes from a deep respect for their beauty and simplicity.
While Yeti Yatra was born from a local dream, Abhishek works to carry that vision forward and give it a larger platform. He is closely involved in planning journeys, managing operations, and building experiences that feel real and meaningful.
With a strong belief in responsible travel, he supports efforts like clean trekking, plantation drives, and building stays that reflect the true mountain lifestyle.
“Yeti Yatra is not just a business — it is a journey of growing something meaningful while staying connected to nature.”

The mountains give us everything.
We give back.
The mountains give us fresh air, peace, water, and life. At Yeti Yatra, we believe it is our duty to give something back. We are not just here to explore the Himalayas — we are here to protect them, care for them, and keep them as they are for the coming generations.
Our Thoughtfulness About Deforestation
The mountains are slowly changing. Forests are reducing, and the natural balance is getting disturbed. We want to be a part of the change. Through awareness and action, Yeti Yatra stands against deforestation and supports a greener future for the Himalayas.
Tree Plantation Drives
Planting trees is one of our biggest goals. We organize plantation drives where travelers, locals, and our team come together to plant trees in the mountain regions. Every tree we plant is a step towards restoring nature. With every journey, we move one step closer to a greener Himalaya.
Clean Trekking & Zero Waste
We carry back all waste from every trek. We avoid plastic as much as possible. We respect trails and natural surroundings. We also plan clean-up drives to keep trekking routes clean and safe for everyone.
Supporting Local Communities
Yeti Yatra is more than just a travel company. It is a family of people who truly care about the mountains. Our guides are local, our homestays are local, and our spending stays in the community. We believe travel should lift the people who call these mountains home.
Protecting the Himalayas
The mountains are slowly changing. Forests are reducing, and the natural balance is getting disturbed. Through awareness and action, Yeti Yatra stands against deforestation and supports a greener future for the Himalayas. Every journey you take with us is a small act of protection.
Our Promise
We promise to always respect the mountains.
To travel responsibly.
To support local communities.
And to leave every place better than we found it.
Stories from the Summit
Every review is a journey retold. Every star is a memory made.
“Kedarkantha with Yeti Yatra was the best decision of my life. Kamu knew every trail, every turn, every star. I cried at the summit — not from exhaustion, but from joy. Will trek again next year without question.”
